During our time together (of unknown duration) we will examine the lives of the early members of “The Way” as described in the book of Acts, and seek to understand how, and why they interacted as they did with the societies and cultures of their time. Additionally, we will examine direct and indirect ties between the Hebrew scriptures (Old Testament) which anchors the culture in which they were living, and the Greek scriptures (New Testament) which documents their actions, words, and instructions for applying Yeshua’s teachings.
During this study we will explore the letters written by the apostles as we encounter the locations mentioned in Acts (Philippi, Corinth, etc.), and the rulers of the land and the Roman empire and their impact on The Way, and the geography as we track the movements of Yeshua’s disciples from Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria “to the end of the earth”.
